All You Wanted to Know And More
WHAT DO I NEED TO WEAR?
Please arrive wearing the clothes you intend to paddle in as there is limited space.
Toilets are only available in local cafes or pubs with pretty limited access at the moment so please plan ahead!
Also please bring your own hand sanitiser if possible and we ask you to observe the social distancing requirements at all times.
No specialist clothing is required, but no jeans or cotton please as cotton gets very cold when wet. In warm weather, swimwear, or ordinary quick drying gym gear will be fine.
You must wear shoes on all sessions, you could wear water shoes or trainers. (No flip flops/sandals)
If it is sunny please bring a baseball hat and sunscreen.
In colder weather wearing a wetsuit would be advisable. We have wetsuits and tops available if requested in advance or bring your own. Also please bring extra layers, a towel and a change of clothes just in case you take a dip during the session.
You may also want to bring a small dry bag for spare warm clothing money, any medications you may need and your phone in a waterproof pouch. If you are worried about losing sunglasses or your glasses please use a strap or buy one from us for £3.
You will be using our paddleboards and paddle. Buoyancy aids are provided and are compulsory on all Maffu Adventures sessions. Leashes are only used by Instructors. Ankle and Knee leashes are not permitted on any of our sessions.
DO YOU OFFER GIFT CARDS?
Yes gift cards can be made for you for any amount and will last 1 year.
PHOTOGRAPHS & VIDEO RECORDING
Maffu Adventures may take photos or video recordings of ‘The Course’ for use in advertising and associated media.
‘The Participant’ may at the time of ‘The Course’ request not to have such recordings taken. The photos and video recordings remain the property of Maffu Adventures and reserve the right to use these images without giving notice to ‘The Participant’ or paying any royalties. We will however endeavour to ensure that ‘The Participant’ receives a digital copy of the images.
WILL THERE BE TOILETS?
During your Paddle Board session, public toilets are in the CO-OP car park may not always be available. But there will be a potti loo if need.
WHAT IF I HAVE ALLERGIES OR MEDICAL CONDITIONS?
Any allergies, dietary requirements or medical conditions need to be brought to our attention during booking.

IS ANYONE QUALIFIED?
Yes, as well as 15 + years of experience within the Outdoors Matt is also qualified in First Aid, British Canoeing Safeguarding, White Water Safety & Rescue.Open Water
Canoe Leader and much more. Any other instructors we use will meet similar criteria.
IS IT SAFE?
Everything we do is to the best of our professional ability. All the necessary risk assessments have been completed. Instructors are First Aid trained and have years of experience teaching beginners in a safe and controlled environment.
CAN CHILDREN ATTEND THE SESSION?
Yes, Under 18's are welcome on all of our sessions with the minimum age of 7. All children must be supervised by a responsible adult throughout the session duration.

PADDLERÂ MINIMUM AGE /SIZE/ CAPABILITY
Minimum age 7 years. For Kayak Sit on Top and Paddle Boards

For Kayak Sit on Top - One 5 to 6 year old is welcome with two over 18s for Free on a tandem kayak but this must agreed by email first before booking as there is a limit of only two per session.

Size we have safty kit from XXS to XXL and a max wight is 18-20stone
